Leaf: linear to narrowly lanceolate, entire; edges tightly rolled under; green adaxially, olive/pale green abaxially, glabrous except for short pubescence on abaxial midrib..Flowers 2 per node. Calyx and tube glabrous, corolla dark orange/red. Adjacent to more typical Diplacus xaustralis colonies with clearly distinct apricot flowers and unrolled leaf margins.
