Habitat: Dry, disturbed areas on trail of sandstone ridge. Blend of light chaparral and coastal sage scrub.
Description: Annual, decumbent to ascending, well branched to ca 30-40 cm. Stem short-hairy. Leaf oblanceolate, short-hairy glandular, with occasional long hairs. Inflorescence at least axillary, no pedicel. Flower calyx ca 1 cm, only slightly inflated, glandular-hairy, +-10-veined, lobes short (2-3mm) linear and acute. Petals creamy-white basal and light-pinkish distal, slightly to clearly spoon-shaped.
Reproductive Condition: Late in flower.
Individual Count: 11-50
Notes: Local patch growing adjacent to timbers of recent trail building work. Late in flower.
