Habitat: Costal Sage Scrub including Artemisia californica, Erigoonm fasciculatum, Malosma laurina, Rhus integrifolia and Ceanothus tomentosus. Slope 10-5% northfacing.
Description: Perennial, cespitose herb. Acaulescent stem habit, with inflorescence unit rising above basal, cernuous, strap-like leaves. Spike of spiklelets is brown and maroon in color, and leaves are a light and dull green.
