Habitat: At base of moderately steep canyon slope. Clay mixed with gravel . Slope north facing, partly shaded. Mixed open sage shrub; Ceanothus tomentosus - Rhamnus crocea - Malosma laurinus - Artemisia californica and non-native herbaceous layer.
Description: Perennial herb, ca. 30 cm tall. Basal leaves slightly undulate. Corolla lobe apices lavender, deep purple maroon at base. Filament tube yellow with lavender tipped lobes and deep purple base. Tube interior lavender to purple.
