Habitat: East side of unpaved road, top of creek bank; sandy-gravel soil. Top of 30-40 degree slope; facing east; partly shaded. Closed community codominated by Salix lasiolepis and Quercus agrifolia, dense undergrowth consisting of bramble-forming shrubs, and mixed herbs and grasses.
Description: Tree, 6-10 feet tall. Leaves white to dull green abaxially. In flower and fruit.
