Habitat: Rocky canyon bottom/ intermitant drainage area. 10-15 degree slope, partial to no exposure. North facing slope. Closed Malosma laurina and Caenothus tomentosus, open graminoid and phorb. South facing slope: Closed to open Eriogonum Fasciculatum/open graminiod.
Description: Shrub, approx. 1.2m tall, few branches from base (4-6), little secondary branching. No flowers present at the time of collection. Spines trimmed from the underside of the specimen for ease of pressing.
