Habitat: Partial shade, sandy loam soil at junction of Quercus agrifolia woodland and riparian Platanus racemosa woodland.
Description: Rhizomatous and stoloniferous shrub. Erect stems green, virgate, ca. 2 m tall. Ray corollas white, disk yellow. Pappus whitish to light tan. Involucral bract vein green, not orang-resinous as described in the Jepson Manual.
