Habitat: Mountain slope, decomposed granitic, rocky soil. Slope 60 degrees, east facing, near rocks. Mixed coastal sage scrub (Malosma laurina, Ceanothus,tomentosus Salvia mellifera) community, with mixed Poa spp.
Description: Annual herb, 10-60 cm., no branching. stems and leaf mid-ribs red. In flower, corrollas deep blue, with cream colored spots on throat. stamens exerted, also cream colored.
